MÄDCHENKANTOREI BASEL
Mädchenkantorei Basel is the outstanding choir school and Swiss concert choir for young female singers since 1991.
In six choir classes, 130 girls from the age of four and young women from northwestern Switzer-land and neighboring countries are encouraged in their musical development under the artistic direction of Marina Niedel and a team of professional musical educators and vocal coaches.
The goals are to encourage the joy of singing, the learning of demanding choral literature, the teaching of in-depth musical knowledge and the fostering of talent and expressivity on the basis of careful vocal development.
In the Bordoni vocal ensemble, experienced singers from the age of 18 work on challenging reper-toire for female voices.
The six choir classes of the Mädchenkantorei Basel regularly perform at concerts and in co-productions with renowned orchestras (Sinfonieorchester Basel, Kammerorchester Basel, Basel Sinfonietta, Neues Orchester Basel) and other partners in the region and are regularly involved in productions at Theater Basel.

MARINA NIEDEL, Artistic Director
Marina Niedel studied school music at the Trossingen University of Music, majoring in singing with Mechthild Bach and choral conducting with Prof. Manfred Schreier, as well as German studies at the University of Tübingen.
She works as a choir conductor in Konstanz (Germany) and Switzerland, with a particular focus on children's and youth choirs, children's voice training and church music. She regularly works with renowned international conductors and ensembles, including Dennis Russel Davies, Hans-Christoph Rademann, Eric Nielsen, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, Basel Sinfonietta, Sinfonieorchester Basel, Raschèr Saxophone Quartet.
As a member of various vocal ensembles, she is primarily dedicated to music of the 17th and 18th centuries and as a speaker and lecturer in the field of children's and youth choir conducting.
Since 2014, she has been the artistic director of Mädchenkantorei Basel and the "Stimm-Werk" choir school of the ABV Konstanz.
ALL FINE CHOIR, Poznań
The All Fine choir is a unified ensemble which brings together graduates of choirs mainly from music schools in Poznań. The choir is made up of a group of singing enthusiasts of high school and university age under the leadership of conductor Laura Stieler. It is she who takes care not only of the artistic side and awakening the passion for singing, but also of the good atmosphere, creating an environment of friendship and support. Recent successes of the ensemble include: Gold Diploma and Golden Angel Statuette at the 11th Krakow Advent and Christmas Song Festival (2022), Gold Diploma and Medal at the 11th Gdansk International Choral Festival (2023), as well as 1st place and Gold Diploma at the 12th Częstochowa - Koziegłowy Festival of Marian Choral Song (2023).
In addition to taking part in competitions and concerts, the ensemble has also participated in festivals, including the Christmas Festival "Poznań Carol Singing", the Cabaret Festival "Christmas Smoleniem", as well as in concerts accompanying the Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music.
Its repertoire includes the most important works of choral music, sacred and popular music, as well as film music. The ensemble reaches for unconventional arrangements, and a large part of the repertoire is arranged by the conductor.
The ensemble collaborates with pianists Łukasz Matusik and Hugo Przybylski and vocalist Eliza Szymańska.
LAURA STIELER graduated with an honours degree in Choral Conducting in 2014. She is the winner of the first prize and winner of extra-regional prizes at the 15th Prof. Stanisław Kulczyński National Competition for Choral Conductors and a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. She is also a graduate of the Cz. Niemen Post-Secondary Singing School and jazz vocalism at the University of Zielona Góra. In addition, she completed postgraduate studies at the Higher School of Social Skills as a Cultural Manager.
Since September 2014 she has been working with the Music School Complex in Poznań, from September 2016 to August 2023 she worked with the Jerzy Kurczewski Poznań Choir School. Together with the ensembles she has led, she has won top prizes at Polish and international competitions and festivals, also receiving awards for Best Conductor.
She continuously improves her technique during numerous courses such as: DoctorVox Therapy Technique by Dr. Ilter Denizoğlu, Alexander Technique for musicians with Magdalena Kędzior, International Masterclass for Choral Conductors (Marktoberdorf), Vocal Course with Dr. Marzena Michałowska, Leszno Jazz Workshops.
Her passions are the human voice and psychology. Her artistic motto is "Progress is more important than perfection".
GIRLS' CHOIR OF THE VILNIUS SCHOOL OF CHORAL SINGING "Liepaitės", Vilnius
The girls' choir (Merginų choras) of the Vilnius Choir Singing School "Liepaitės" (Lipki) is an ensemble of a choral music school, established in 1993 on the basis of the famous girls' choir "Liepaitės", (founded by Lucia Palinauskaitė and Petras Vailionis). Today it is certainly one of the leading girls' choirs in Lithuania.
The structure of the choral school is made up of seven choirs, divided by the age of the female students. In the Girls' Choir sing female students in classes 8-11, aged 14 to 17. The choir prepares a new concert programme every year.
The choir has represented Lithuania at special events in Brussels, Dublin, Stockholm, Tel Aviv. The ensemble performs with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Kaunas Chamber Orchestra, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Baroque Opera Orchestra conducted by S. Sondeckis , V. Domarkas , M. Barkauskas, M. Jauniškis, G. Rinkevičius, , M. Staškus. It is a performer of "Gloria" by A. Vivaldi, "Magnificat" by Š.Brixi, "Sirens" by C. Debussy, works by G. Walker and O. Gjeilo, "Four Elements" by V. Bartulis, "Songs of the Plains" by J. Juzeliūnas, "Benedict and the Giraffe" by L. Vilkončius. The choir, together with the Kremerata Baltica orchestra, recorded the piece "Lullaby" by A. Pört on the CD "Seasons" (2015).
The choir has won prizes at international competitions: Grand Prix - "Dainų versmė" (1998, 2003, Lithuania), gold diploma - J. Brahms (2003, Germany), gold cup - "Prague Cantat" (2004, Czech Republic), silver award - Celje, (2005, Slovenia), 2nd place and special diploma - St. Šimkaus (2007, Lithuania), 2nd place - Cantonigros (2010, Spain), 3rd place - Tolosa (2010, Spain) etc. At all-Lithuanian competitions, it has twice won the Grand Prix - "We are the children of Lithuania" (2004) , 2008), has twice participated in the Lithuanian TV choir competitions "Lietuvos balsai" and won nominations of project winners (2009, 2014). In recent years, the ensemble has presented itself at the following events: the project "Sutrinko trinko", "Liepaitės" and the percussion ensemble "Afrikos būgnai" - a musical fusion of Lithuanian folk sutartinės and African rhythms (2020), the staging of the oratorio "Triumph of Judith" by A. Vivaldi at the Kaunas State Drama Theatre (2023), the choir's participation in the closing concert of the General Assembly of the European Choral Association in Vilnius (2023).
VAITKEVIČIENĖ JOLITA
Graduated M. K. Čiurlionis Arts Gymnasium, after this Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater - majoring in choir conducting. She works at the Vilnius Choral Singing School "Liepaitės" with girls 'choirs of various ages, teaches solfeggio, and is the leader of the Girls' Choir.
J. Vaitkevičienė with the school girls' choir prepared over 20 concert programs recorded 4 CDs. Every year he participates in more than ten concerts in Lithuania and abroad. She cooperated with the Embassies of the Republic of Lithuania and represented the country in the anniversary concerts of the 20th anniversary of the accession to the EU, the restoration of Lithuania's independence in Dublin, Stockholm, Brussels and Tel Aviv. Prepared the choir for the Eurovision event "Europe is singing", as well as for concerts with Lithuanian professional orchestras and conductors. In them, the choir performed A. Vivaldi's "Gloria", the oratorio "Judith's Triumph", C. Debussy's "Sirenes", G. Walker and O. Gjeil's works, Lithuanian composers V. Bartulis "Four Elements", J. Juzeliūnas' "Songs of the Plains", L. Vilkončius' opera "Benedict and the Giraffe". The girls' choir with the Kremerata Baltica orchestra recorded A. Pӓrt's "Lullaby" on CD.
J. Vaitkevičienė organized four international children's and youth choir festivals "Liepaičių draugai" in Vilnius. She was a member of the Lithuanian Songs Festivals creative group, conductor, and lecturer of professional development events. She is interested in choir synthesis singing and stage movement.
The girls 'choir under her leadership has twice won the main prizes in the Lithuanian children's and youth choirs' competition "We are Lithuanian children", "Song row" and the first places in the Lithuanian television choir competition "Lithuanian voices" and international competitions Celje, Tolosa, Cantonigros. She won the title of the best teacher in the campaign of the Lithuanian Ministry of Education "The best graduates choose the best teachers". She has been awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merits to Lithuania".
The GIRLS' CHOIR "CANZONA"
The Girls' Choir "Canzona" was established in October 1981. Currently, about 50 girls aged from seven to sixteen sing in the ensemble. The choir's creator and long-time conductor was Professor Elżbieta Wtorkowska. For over forty years of its activity the choir has given concerts in Poland and abroad: in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovakia, Malta, Croatia, Spain, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the USA, Israel, France and Portugal. He has had the opportunity to sing for John Paul II on several occasions. Since 2008, he has collaborated on the annual editions of the Edmund Szymański International Choir Festival in Murowana Goślina.
In 2014-2015, the choir toured England, the Netherlands, Germany and Normandy, France. In 2019, the choir gave concerts in the USA (Chicago, New York, Linden).
"Canzona" has won numerous prizes and awards at many choral competitions and festivals. Among them:

During the pandemic, the choir participated in online competitions all over the world winning major prizes, including in Poland (Wysoka, Chełmno, Rzeszów), USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Russia, Belgium, Ukraine, Croatia, Czech Republic, Japan, Switzerland, Turkey, among others.
In 2023, the Canzona girls recorded songs for the film Mr. Kleks Academy.
The choir is conducted by Dr Adrianna Wtorkowska-Kubińska, a graduate of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań and of postgraduate studies in choral conducting at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. The choir's accompanist is Weronika Jarzyńska - Pluta.
ADRIANNA WTORKOWSKA - KUBIŃSKA, PhD, is a graduate of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań (Department of Choral Conducting, Music Education and Church Music) and Postgraduate Studies in Choral Conducting at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 2019, she obtained the degree of Doctor of Arts in the field of musical arts in the artistic discipline - conducting at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań.
She is currently the director of Artistic Centre and president of the Goslina Music Society in Murowana Goślina. Her artistic achievements include many Polish and international awards received mainly with the Canzona Girls' Choir from Murowana Goślina. She is a laureate of the Poznań Poviat prize for achievements in artistic creation, popularisation and protection of culture, she received the title of Cultural Personality of the City and Commune of Murowana Goślina for outstanding achievements, as well as individual conductor prizes received during national competitions. She cooperates with the Military Orchestra in Bydgoszcz carrying out many projects together. Among the most important are: Eschatophonia Overture - a musical tribute to the victims of the Covid-19 pandemic (the film was nominated in the music video category during the 15th NNW International Film Festival in Gdynia), "In service under the white and red" where together with all military orchestras from Poland the Canzona Girls' Choir performed the song "Witaj Majowa Jutrzenko", charity concerts „Together with Ukraine”, the recording of songs for the film ”Mr Kleks' Academy” and participation in the documentary film „From Soviet Gulags to Victory on Monte Cassino”, produced on the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino.
As a speaker, she takes part in nationwide scientific conferences on choral music. She also conducts workshops for conductors and ensembles, e.g. as part of the Singing Poland project. She is the author of the introduction to the PWM publication "Dwa utwory na chór dziecięcy" [Two pieces for children's choir] by Paweł Łukaszewski. For 25 years, she has been active in the Pro Sinfonika Youth Music Lovers' Movement operating under the wings of the Poznań Philharmonic. Co-organises the Father Edmund Szymański International Choir Festival in Murowana Goślina.
THE GIRLS' CHOIR OF THE JERZY KURCZEWSKI CHOIR SCHOOL
The Girls' Choir of the Jerzy Kurczewski Choir School was founded in 2008 on the initiative of the current Director, Krzysztof Wojcik, and its first conductor, Dorota Wojnowska, who led the ensemble until 2017. In 2017, the choir was taken over by Laura Stieler- Bilewicz.

Since 2022, the ensemble has been led by Anna Michalak, a graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań , for many years a conductor and choir manager at the Wrocław and Baltic Opera.
The ensemble cooperates with cultural institutions in Poznań - the Grand Theatre, the New Theatre, the Academy of Music - and takes part in conducting competitions, festivals and artistic projects. It is also involved in charitable activities, e.g. performances for patients of the Wielkopolska Oncology Centre, for the Military Aviation Base in Krzesiny, for children on the autism spectrum, the Fulfilment of Dreams Foundation and the Gift of Bone Marrow Foundation. The choristers also took part in a Christmas carol concert for the C19 hospital at the Poznań fairgrounds. Every year we cooperate with the "Smoleń wiecznie żywy" (Smoleń forever alive) Association by singing during the "Wigilia ze Smoleniem" (Christmas Eve with Smoleń) for the poor. We are also promoting choral music and singing at schools. In 2022, we had the honour of opening the "Dogfrisbee", which was held for the first time in Poland. Last year, the choir also took part in concerts accompanying the Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music.
The girls' choir of the Poznań Choir School is made up of almost 60 female students of the only school of this profile in Poland. The ensemble works under the supervision of Anna Michalak, and is accompanied at the piano by Czesław Łynsza.
Anna Michalak
Anna Michalak is a graduate of the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the choral conducting class of Professor Janusz Dzięcioł and singing class of Professor Jadwiga Gałęska-Tritt. She also honed her vocal technique under the guidance of Jolanta Żmurko, a soloist at Wrocław Opera, and Robert Nakoneczny, a vocal consultant at the Baltic Opera. In 2001, she completed post-graduate studies in cultural management. Anna Michalak's professional experience consists primarily of collaboration in opera and concert performances with such conductors as Gustaw Kuhn, Siegfried Heinrich, Antonino Fogliani, J. M. Perez-Sierra, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Łukasz Borowicz, Andriy Yurkevych, Marco Guidarini, Diego Garcia Rodriguez, Federico Longo, Friedrich Heider, Eckhardt Klemm and Przemysław Fiugajski.
As the choir's ensemble leader and assistant, she has taken part in the preparation of premieres, revivals and concerts including: Bizet Ch. Carmen, Tchaikovsky E. Eugene Onegin, Mercdante S. In 2004, she joined Wrocław Opera, where she became Małgorzata Orawska's assistant. In 2011, she took up the position of choir director at the Baltic Opera. Together with the ensemble, she has prepared Carmen, Cosi fan Tutte, Rothschild's Violin, Maria, Ubu Rex, Black Mask, Tosca, Olympia of Gdansk, Eros and Psyche, among others. Under her direction, the OB choir has become an important and critically and audience-appreciated component of the works presented. Together with the ensemble, she also took part in a concert, unusual for an opera choir, entitled. "European Poet of Freedom", which presented works written especially for the occasion by Aleksandra Gryka, to texts by contemporary authors. In winter 2016, the OB ensemble took part in concerts with Andrea Bocelli. She has also collaborated with the Academy of Music in Gdansk and the Music Elementary School. Currently, she leads the girls' ensemble at the PSCHJK, which successfully performs on stages in Poland and abroad.
She permanently cooperates with the Camerata Bach Choir Poznań ensemble as artistic director and conductor, preparing cantata-oratorio and opera works. Together they have the first performance after many years of Rappresentaione per Anima e di Corpo - L. Cavalieri, the St Matthew Passion - O. di Lasso and the opera Briganti - S. Mercadante. The choir was appointed a permanent ensemble of the Rossini Festspiele in Bad Wildbad, and the recording of G. Rossini's Semiramide received awards in Paris, New York and London. The Camerata, under the conducting of Anna Michalak, also has recordings of Rossini G. Semiramide, Siege de Corinte, Wilhelm Tell, Mercadante S. Brigant, Pavesi S. Ser Marcantonio' di Lasso O. SKOWRONKI GIRLS' CHOIRPoznań
The SKOWRONKI Girls' Choir has been on the scene since 1950. SKOWRONKI can boast the longest tradition among girls' choirs. Since the beginning of its activity, the choir has been associated with the municipal institution ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań.
Since 1991, the choir's image and sound have been shaped by conductor Alicja Szeluga. The ensemble gathers musically and vocally talented girls from schools in Poznań and its suburbs, as well as female students from Poznań universities. The musical education of over 120 choristers takes place on three levels, depending on the girls' age and skills.
The choir performs music of all epochs; a cappella and vocal-instrumental pieces, works composed especially for the choir or lesser-known works discovered by it for the general public.
The SKOWRONKI choir has won major prizes in as many as forty-five European festivals and choral competitions. These include the Grand Prix at the prestigious Legnica Cantat 38 National Choir Tournament.

The SKOWRONKI choir is also the laureate of two editions of The Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music in Poznań, in 2018 and 2023.
The ensemble owes its success to the meotda of work created by choir conductor Alicja Szeluga. An early start to work on the children's voice, carefully selected repertoire, adapted to the performance capabilities of each group, systematic and methodically conducted voice emission training in voice emission brings measurable results. The choir is distinguished by an extraordinarily coherent sound, and SKOWRONKs' concerts, enriched with choreographic elements, are each time an encounter with music performed at the highest level. with music performed at the highest artistic level.
The SKOWRONKI Girls' Choir organises the International Festival of Girls' Choirs TRILLME FESTIVAL every two years (Alicja Szeluga is its initiator and director). Since 2014, the Wielkopolska concert halls have hosted choirs from Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Ukraine in addition to Polish choral formations. Contemporary Polish music literature thanks to the TRILLME FESTIVAL has been enriched by the premieres of great vocal and instrumental works by Marek Raczynski, Katarzyna Danel and Szymon Godziemba-Trytek.
The SKOWRONKI Girls' Choir travels extensively - it has given concerts in all European countries, as well as in Israel (2007), the United States (2015), Bolivia (2022) and Japan (2019). In December 2015, the SKOWRONKI Girls' Choir became the first Polish female choir to perform on the stage of one of the world's most famous concert halls, New York's Carnegie Hall.
The ensemble's discography includes 22 CDs and DVDs, with studio and live recordings of the choir's concerts.
The artistic image of the choir is created by Alicja Szeluga - conductor and director of the ensemble, Julia Łynsza - conductor of the junior groups, Dominika Nakielna - assistant conductor, Zuzanna Zięta - vocal supervision, Czesław Łynsza - pianist and Beata Polak - percussionist. The choir's manager is Andrzej Łukaszkiewicz.

Małe SKOWRONKI (Little Larks) Girls' Choir and SKOWRONECZKI (Baby Larks) Girls' Choir are two of the three ensembles that make up the SKOWRONKI Girls' Choir operating at the ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań.
The youngest group - Małe SKOWRONKI - includes girls aged 6 to 9. These talented children are just beginning their adventure with music, singing one-voice children's songs by Polish composers, often enlivened by movement. Their colourful performances, characterised by the stage friskiness typical of young children, attract crowds of parents and grandparents to the concerts and often give the audience a lot of emotion.
The SKOWRONECZKI Girls' Choir is made up of girls aged 9-13. Young choral singers spend a few years learning the secrets of multi-voice music-making in order to join the ranks of the oldest group, the SKOWRONKI choir.
The ensemble's repertoire consists of two- and three-voice compositions from children's choral literature. Many contemporary composers entrust the choir with their works for premiere, such as: Grzegorz Miśkiewicz, Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, Andrzej Borzym, Krzysztof Niegowski.
The SKOWRONECZKI Girls' Choir gives regular concerts in Poznań and Greater Poland. It participates in international festivals: four times in the "Trillme Festival" - International Festival of Girls' Choirs in Poznań (2014, 2016, 2018, 2022), three times in the International Festival of Children's Choirs in Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic (2011, 2019, 2023). In September 2019, the choir participated in EUROTREFF - the International Festival of Children's and Youth Choirs in Wolfenbuttel, Germany. Recent successes of the ensemble include winning 1st place in the children's choir category at the "Cantio Lodziensis" Choir Festival in Łódź (2017), winning the Gold Diploma in the 1st National Online Choir Competition - High 2020, Gold Diploma in the "Cantantes Lublinienses" International Choir Competition, online edition (2021). In June 2023. SKOWRONECZKI took part in the National Competition of Children and Youth Choirs a Capppella in Bydgoszcz and won the Golden Camertone in the category of choirs up to the age of 16 of out-of-school institutions, the Cup of the Ministry of Education for the highest score in the category,
Special Award and Cup of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the performance of a compulsory piece, Special Award of the Polish Association of Choirs and Orchestras for the performance of a piece inspired by Polish folk music,
The choir's recording credits include two CDs of studio recordings and 11 DVDs of live concert recordings.
The conductor of the choir is Julia Łynsza, the choir is accompanied by the pianist Czesław Łynsza and the percussionist Beata Polak. The artistic supervision of the ensemble is provided by Alicja Szeluga.
